Buck’s Pocket State Park is a peaceful and tranquil state park located in Grove Oak, Alabama and maintained by Guntersville State Park. The campground has been recently renovated and features 23 RV campsites, all with water and power. !3 of the sites have sewer hookups. There are also 11 primitive campsites located within the interior of the campground and more planned for the future. After a good rain, there’s some great waterfalls on the hike up to Point Rock and if there’s a lot of rain you might catch some kayakers paddling down South Sauty Creek. There is also a picnic pavilion and a playground.
There is a $5/car day use fee. If you are planning to camp, the best bet is to contact the park office by phone. The online reservation system is still a little wonky.
